.yeah B.

Hey there lovers!
So what better way to celebrate the beginning of another week than with a little bit of champagne and a low-key chit chat about fashion and Beyonce? We know right, the perfect Sunday evening…

While we couldn’t get enough of Bey’s ‘flawless’ look at the Grammy’s, she pulled all stops to amaze us yet again in a recent surprise performance at a Pre-Superbowl Party in New York City. While half of the world agreed Bey was absolutely stunning in a sheer, white lace Michael Costello dress, she took it to another level in a black, sheer gown, thanks to Roberto Cavalli.

Dripping in Lorraine Schwartz and completing her look in Christian Louboutins, Bey was an absolute glamour as she performed her hit song, ‘Drunk In Love’. The combination of the dazzling jewellery, sheer paneling, perfect long locks and hot red lipstick, Bey was the ultimate Queen.

What do you think of Bey’s latest looks? Or maybe you have a fave Grammy’s look of your own? Let us know.

LOVE T + T

.missoni me.

Happy Monday lovers and friends!

Not long ago, I started to get a bit of an itch and scratch and a whole heap of interest in home decor. I'm beginning to think I just have a slight obsession with putting things together and making them work and when they do I get really really excited (not joking - I actually get overly excited when pieces of a puzzle come together even if they aren't mine!) So of course after years of putting beautiful pieces of clothing together, my love of putting beautiful pieces of decor together emerged and thus 'Designer Homewares' was born.

I wanted to share with you a bit about the style I'm loving right now with interiors. Designer Homewares is a reflection of everything I love; monochromatic mixes, mirrored glamour, polished chrome finishes and of course the odd pop of colour to really set off the fireworks.

I got out the good old SLR today and had a play around with some of my new purchases and wanted to share the photos with you all. Follow us on Instagram @designerhomewares

.got me some new skin.

Let me tell you a little story about me...

I have never had a problem with skin before. Sure I've had the odd spot here and there, a bit of stress acne now and then but nothing worth worrying about. Until recently, when I made some changes in my lifestyle. My worst nightmare came true. You know when you look in the mirror, everything blurs out and the only thing that stares you back in the face is a big red "HELLO I'M HERE!" So naturally, I panicked and started to look for every option to sort this out pronto! I've had the fluffy facials before and tried the whole "dry them out until they die" options and although I saw a slight difference, it was nothing worth getting excited about and my skin felt no different in other aspects.

After looking into different methods and treatments,  I came across something unlike anything I had heard of before. So naturally, I made the call and made an appointment at The Laser Lounge Morningside for a DMK Enzyme Treatment. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt completely welcome and there was even a beautiful baby chilling out on the rug while his mum was getting treated (you can actually take the little ones to your appointment because this is a child friendly salon)!

My treatment started off with some cleansing of course and even at this stage I started to feel relaxed because the brush my therapist used on me was so soft it felt beautiful on my skin. Throughout the process, my therapist Esther explained absolutely everything to me from what she was doing to how it would benefit and what feelings I should expect (being someone who needs to know everything, this was so amazing for me because I didn't have to keep asking what was going on!)

There was a whole process to this treatment with every step tying in with the next. During the treatment, I felt like things were "working". Do you know what I mean by "working"? As in not just a whole lot of moisturiser sitting on my face while I laid down in a bed. I mean ingredients that actually felt they were making their way down deeper layers of skin and actively doing their thing. Then came the moment of truth, the enzyme mask was applied to my face and neck and down to my décolletage. I was told by my therapist that this is going to feel tight and could be slightly itchy but that this is completely normal. She put on the mask and yes it did feel very tight, it kind of feels like if you move you will crack but boy does it feel like its doing wonders. The best part about all this is, when the mask is on you don't really have time to even care about the tightness on your face because your therapist will offer you a hand and arm massage for the 40 minutes while the mask is sinking into your skin. This treatment is so active that I actually felt a slight pulsation in some places - wow!

After leaving the salon, my skin felt good but it wasn't until about a day or two later that I started to really like what I saw. My skin had been rejuvenated, was glowing, the texture felt different and the spots had started to subside. Please don't get me wrong, I by no means think there is a magical cure to treat pimples overnight but I do believe that there are treatments that work and of course this goes hand in hand with how you treat your skin outside of the salon and what you eat.

There is an amazing range of take home skin care in the DMK range and this isn't something you can just jump online to purchase. The therapists tailor make a skin care prescription/plan for you which is suited to you skin and your needs. They even have essential fatty acid vitamins to ensure you are doing the right things to help the insides too!

I've included some information on DMK Skin below so if you're feeling like your skin needs a bit of tender love and care, give the girls at The Laser Lounge a call - you will not regret it. I for one have deemed myself to be an enzyme-mask-addict now!

Enzyme Therapy:

Restores skin to its peak condition
DMK is the only company in the world to utilise the beneficial effects of transfer messenger enzymes. Enzymes are living substances that regulate health and work with certain minerals in the body to form a natural system of antioxidants that fight corrosive free radicals. Properly formulated, they can remove dead protein, toxins and other effluvia from the epidermis using a process called ‘reverse osmosis’.
Where some cosmetic facial treatments may only act on the surface of the skin, DMK Enzyme Treatments work with the skin. The enzymes aim to strengthen the structural integrity of the skin to create a healthy environment for cells to live and thrive in.
Enzyme Therapy exercises facial muscles and works to leave the skin feeling firm.

.the queens of tea.

All hail! We have found the queens of tea (tea-tox that is!) This is when drinking healthy tea meets a detox and together they form to unite as a TEA-TOX!

Now why would you do a Tea-tox you ask? Here's a few reasons:

* It increases your metabolic rate.
* Reduces food cravings.
* Helps food digestion.
* Cleanses your body.
* Gives you more energy.

The best news of all - its very affordable and something you can do every now and then! I tried the 7 B-Tox Package from Queen B and absolutely loved it! I added a tiny bit of honey to my mixture and found the tea to be soothing and relaxing to drink. I've always had some issues with digestion and found the tea to really help with bloating which I was super stoked about.

Do yourself a favour and give it a go! For only $15 for the 7 day pack you can see if it works for you and if you get addicted - not my fault!

Love, Parisa.

.for the glamorous.

Recently I have been on the look out for interesting things to frame for around the home. I nearly screamed in excitement when I came across these amazing prints from I See Noise by Randa Salloum. It was exactly what I was after, something original and feminine that catches the eye. Talk about creative! There are so many different prints to choose from, and you can request a custom print if you wish too! I went with the gold Coco Chanel fragrance print and the silver eiffel tower print. Have a look at how I styled them at my place. If you're in need of a super cute gift idea or some glam in your home/office, I wouldn't go past this one.

Love Parisa...
